The Fremen

The Fremen are the desert people. They live in the rocks of the deserts of Dune. For years, they
were persecuted under the Harkonnens. Original counts had placed the number of Fremen to be extremely low.
The Atreides were the first to find out how many thousands the Fremen made up. Under Muad'Dib,
the Fremen became an incredible fighting force. Women, children, and old men were able to drive away an assault of
Imperial Sardaukar, the Emperor's fanatic warriors.

Arrakis teaches the atitude of the knife -- chopping off what's incomplete and saying:
"Now, it's complete because it is ended here."

Fremen do what must be done. Due to lack of water, they must reclaim the water of dead bodies. They leave the old and the blind to the
desert, for they are a hinder to the tribe.
Fremen can be identified by their blue-in-blue eyes. These come about as a result of a diet high in spice.
We Fremen have a saying, "God created Arrakis to train the faithful." One cannot go against the word of God.
